Lapin Contemporary Gallery Exhibit Opening October 19th, 2024

Group Exhibition on display October 5th – December 28, 2024

Lapincontemporary is pleased to present a group exhibition of works by Jen Violette, John Lanterman and Douglas Gilbert at its 60 Roberts Drive, Studio 308 gallery, in North Adams, MA, at the beautiful Norad Mill. On view from October 5 to December 28, Seeing Landscape presents interpretations of landscape from realistic to abstract, while providing the viewer with meditative and introspective views of bucolic scenery.

John’s work is part of a three part exhibit of landscape, building, and region. Other artists include Douglas Gilbert, a fine artist specializing in graphite, and Jen Violette, a glass artist based in Vermont. The exhibit is open from October 5, with the opening reception on October 19th, through December 28th. The gallery is located at 60 Roberts Dr. Studio 308 in North Adams, Massachusetts. Bushnell-Sage Library Exhibit

An exhibit is on display for the month of September, 2024 at the Bushnell-Sage Library in Sheffield, Massachusetts. The show included a variety of limited edition prints of work from western Colorado as well as the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. Subject matter ranged from landscapes, to details of nature, and other images reflecting the sense of place of the chosen area.

Elk River in Steamboat Springs, Colorado

John Lanterman, a photographer living in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, will be exhibiting limited edition prints at the Bushnell-Sage Library in Sheffield, Massachusetts. The exhibit includes limited edition prints of landscapes, details of nature, and other subjects that reflect the sense of place from their locale. All prints are black and white images that provide a glimpse into the character of the region, ranging from western Colorado to the Berkshire Hills.

The Backstory

John Lanterman is a photographer based in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. His work encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, from large landscapes, to details of nature, and ventures into the curiosities and beauty that surround us.

The great majority of his work is in black and white. He believes the true nature of his subject matter is best expressed through the simple, strong, and subtle beauty that is captured in black and white.
